This party's for the dogs: Big police guns, an NBC star and very importantpooches turn out in force
K9s4COPS founder Kristi Schiller rounded up a glam posse of high-dollar donors, politicos and law enforcement officials for a rocking fundraiser at El Real Tex-Mex. More than 300 joined the party including executive board member Robert Eckels, who co-chaired the evening with Schiller.
NBC News national correspondentJanet Shamlian was back with her family in Houston long enough to serve as emcee of the benefit that saluted not only Schiller for her work as K9s4COPS founder but also VIPS in attendance. Taking bows were K9 officers Harris County Sheriff Sgt. Mike Thomas and his team, and Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Deputy Ted Dahlin. Also recognized were Sheriff Adrian Garcia, Freeport Port commissioner John Hoss and Houston Community College trustee Carroll Robinson.

Joining the gents were the furry stars of the evening, four-legged guests Tamara, Boomer, Bred, Mac, Sjors and Fozzie.

Joining the party were celebs Wild Bill Stantonand steel diva Roxana Wood, El Real co-owner Bill Floyd, Melissa Milne, Racehorse Haynes, Meredith Cullen, JoJo Hoss, Elena and Gregg Davis, Chip Lewis, Kent Schaffer and Brenda and Brad Jones.
Schiller had her own cheering squad — family members including husband John Schiller and their daughter, Sinclair, and his grown children, Hailey Schiller and Daniel Schiller with wife Veronica.
