Italian doctors honored in a sold-out casino night that leaves everyone feeling lucky
What: The Italian Cultural and Community Center (ICCC) "Reaching Our Vision" gala and casino night.
Where: The Westin Houston, Memorial City.
The 411: The spotlight was on Italian and Italian-American leaders in the medical field when ICCC presented the annual Italian Flame Awards at the sold-out black-tie gala. Doctors and researchers from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, UTHealth-Houston, the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Houston Methodist Research Institute and other organizations as well as doctors in private practice were applauded for distinguished careers. Joining forces as gala committee co-chairs were John Marion Carrabba and Margaret Bannon.
“As a native Italian and director of programs and marketing of this organization," noted Tiziana Triolo in a statement, "I’m very proud to see so many Italian-Americans and Italians who have, through the years, produced such distinguished results in the medical, research and scientific field both in Italy and in the United States."
