A hot time at a trendy new Houston restaurant sets the stage for an exclusive Rose Ribbon dinner
The Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation reached beyond its traditional culinary boundaries by landing in Seasons 52 for the kickoff party for its Shades of Roses dinner, held annually at Fleming's River Oaks. Thanks to the hospitality of Seasons managing partner Reuben Rolf, the group got off to an early start for the Sept. 14 dinner.
More than 200 poured in for this lively kickoff that had dinner chairs Kim Padgett and Jessica Rossman beaming. Joining them at the Seasons 52 party were Shades of Roses honorees Alex Martinez and Diane Caplan, both of whom have experienced the effects of cancer in their families.
Guests purchased more than $4,000 in raffle tickets and brought in more than 50 bottles of wine and champagne for the big dinner.
While restaurant staff put on a spread of exotic flatbreads, shrimp, scallops and stuffed mushrooms and singer/songwriter Michael DeMarse provided entertainment on his 12-string guitar, guests purchased more than $4,000 in raffle tickets and brought in more than 50 bottles of wine and champagne for the big dinner.
The party crowd included Rose Ribbon Foundation founders Cindi and Dr. Franklin Rose plus newly engaged Laura Max Nelson and Ben Rose, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Cynthia Sinatra, Victoria Brink, Roland Garcia, Rachel and Dr. James Suliburk, J. Michael Stoltz, Elizabeth Frost, David Arpin, Beth Bryant and Sue Habib of Lexis Florist, providing flowers for the Fleming's dinner.
They were among those snapping up tickets (priced from $250 to $500) for the dinner, limited to 200, which is always a sellout.
