Hospital supporters have a Field Day working out with select Houston Texans at training facility

The 411: More than 170 members of the Houston Methodist support group turned out for the evening in their casual best. Kelli and Eddy Blanton joined Cabrina and Steven Owsley in chairing the event that began with Houston Methodist Research Institute president and CEO Dr. Mauro Ferrari discussing the hospital's role as official health care provider for the Houston Texans.
Houston Texans tight end Garrett Graham and offensive tackle Duane Brown put guests to the test with drills in agility, defense, punting, passing and kicking. The team's assistant strength coach Sean Hayes led an interactive session on workout routines with kids in the group while Dr. Jeremy Finkelstein, Houston Methodist Emergency Care Centers medical director, talked with parents about common summer injuries.
The event celebrated the Society for Leading Medicine's fundraising prowess which to date has meant an additional $1.42 million for hospital advancement.
