The "J"s ruled at Hotel ZaZa as word play leads to $225,000 for crisis hotline
Alliteration was the name of the successful game at Hotel ZaZa when Crisis Intervention of Houston honored an impressive coterie of individuals whose names begin with the letter "J." It was phonetic word play, a tradition that on this night raised $225,000 for the 24-hour hotline.
Taking bows for their community leadership were Janiece Longoria, Joan Schnitzer Levy, Jackie Martin, Judi McGee and Jared Lang. Each honored in a video presentation. As Momentum Audi GM, Lang stepped up to the plate in a big way, handling the appeal and matching dollars to double the funds raised.
Insuring that the "All Those J'zz" benefit maintained a tip-top score were chairs Philamena Baird, Gina Carroll and Clifford Pugh.
Among those grooving to the sounds of the band Password were Diane Englet, Steve Lasher, John Dascoulias, Lillie Robertson, Claudia and Roberto Contreras, Cyndy Garza-Roberts, Ellie and Jack Sweeney, Carolyn and Mike Mann, Arthur Baird, Jen and Dan Pickering, Katie and Pat Oxford, Karen and Byron Hood, Barry Mandel and Scott Sawyer.
