Hunky firefighters strut their dance floor stuff at "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"spring break
It might be six weeks before we board the Citations and King Airs for a spring break playcation, but there is one group of femmes already thinking hot times. That would be those who turned out for the Ronald McDonald House "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" event at the Westin Galleria.
The theme was Spring Break and the ladies yukked it up in over-sized sunglasses, grass skirts, straw hats, beach attire and even play clothes from their college days.
Thank you Hildy Kaplan and Suzanne Farrow for overseeing such a playful evening during which the offerings included beaucoup shopping, mini-massages, palm and tarot card readings, photo booths and makeovers from top make-up artists. Decorations chairs Bobbi Mercier and Bettyann Senter were responsible for the beach-inspired setting complete with palm trees, sand pails and beach towels.
Funnily enough, the challenge that captured the partygoers' attention most was the barefoot wine ring toss in which guests hoped to lasso a bottle of vino to take home.
The real hit of the night, however, were those hunky gents from the Houston Fire Department's Houston Men on Fire. They heated up the dance floor teaching those who were game a few hot new moves.
Gals taking a mental spring break included Mikki Donnelly, Carrie Carson, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Debbie Adams, Diane Riley, Maddie Kades, Melanie Lay, Barbara Catechis, Beth Finn, Lisa Kretaschmar, Maidie Ryan, Jackee Hintz and Cortney Cole.
