The first day for yet another farmers market for Houston's growing collection — this one smack dab in downtown Houston — is here.
Wednesday will mark the groundbreaking and first day for the downtown market at City Hall, with a ceremony at noon and the market open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CultureMap first reported on the city's plan to get a weekday farmers market downtown on August 25.
Chefs Monica Pope of t'afia, Chris Shepherd of Catalan Food and Wine and Randy Evans of Haven will join Mayor Annise Parker in the ribbon cutting at Hermann Square Plaza.
