Saint Arnold announces beer expansion just in time for explosive viewing party

Saint Arnold Brewing Company is expanding its capacity with four new 240-barrel fermentation tanks over the next two weeks.
The tanks will increase Saint Arnold's brewing capacity by 7,000 gallons of beer each and are expected to be in operation by the end of the month. There has been growing demand for the local craft beer, which is brewed just outside of downtown Houston — demand that has grown with the brewery's acclaim. (Saint Arnold won three medals at this year's Great American Beer Festival, for a total of 16 since they began competing).
The addition of the new fermentation tanks will double the brewing capacity Saint Arnold's had at its old brewery, bringing it from 35,000 barrels a year to 50,000. Don't worry though, they still qualify as a little guy. (For comparison, Anheuser-Busch produced 125 million barrels in 2007.)
Come out tonight when Saint Arnold hosts a special viewing party for the explosive creation of the gunpowder artist's Cai Odyssey — or any Saturday — and drink local.
Editor's note: If you don't have one of few coveted tickets to watch Cai's gunpowder art explode in person at the warehouse (and they are all sold out), you can watch a livestream of it on CultureMap.com.
There will also be an off-site viewing party held at Saint Arnold Brewing Company from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. The first 100 people will be let in free courtesy of MFAH. After that, it will cost $7 to attend.
