What storm?
Despite Hurricane Harvey's havoc, some Houston restaurants remain open
UPDATE: CultureMap food editor Eric Sandler has compiled an updated list of restaurant openings as of August 29. You can access it here.
-------------
As they always do when severe weather threatens the city, Houstonians have hunkered down to ride out Hurricane Harvey. Although forecasts continue to call for severe rain and a high likelihood of flooding, some Houston restaurants are open and serving customers.
Staying close to home is probably key here. No matter how tempting a croissant from Weights + Measures might sound this morning, it isn't worth risking a sudden change in conditions that leaves someone stranded 10 or more miles from safety.
With that in mind, these restaurants have either contacted CultureMap or posted to social media that they are currently open Saturday morning. Diners are strongly encouraged to check social media to confirm
