Heads up, everyone: It's not too soon to start planning Valentine's Day dinner. You'll already be ahead of the game, however, if you plan to enjoy a gourmet meal to-go from The Butcher Shop at B&B Butchers & Restaurant.
The lavish, three-course meal (sides included, of course) is available Thursday, February 13, through Sunday, February 16, with a 24-hour notice. Light some candles and enjoy a cozy, romantic dinner in the privacy of your own home — you can even pick up a beautiful floral arrangement from John Friedman Flowers at the same time (these masterpieces require 48-hours prior notice to prepare).
Each made-to-order meal-for-two includes your choice of two appetizers, one large entree, and two desserts. Start with lobster bisque, Caesar salad, B&B meatballs, or Chef Tommy's famous Bacon Box, then share either a 20-ounce chateaubriand, 20-ounce beef Wellington, or two 10-ounce filets mignon. Roasted Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, and B&B mac and cheese are also included.
For dessert, linger over chocolate cake, New York cheesecake, or an artisan cheese selection with truffle-infused honey. A box of chocolate-covered strawberries is also included with the feast.
Each two-person meal costs $130 plus tax, while the flowers come in three pricing tiers: $85 for a bubble bowl of six roses, $155 for a bubble bowl of 12 roses, $155 for a bubble bowl of 12 pink roses, and $195 for a dozen long-stemmed roses. If you really want to go out on the town, B&B Butchers does still have a limited number of tables available but reservations are going fast. Wow your date by having flowers waiting at your table when you arrive.
