Beyoncé on Broadway: Watch this one-night-only cover performance of pop star'sgreatest hits
We've always known that Beyoncé is more than a pretty face and a nice voice — the Houston-born pop sensation is also a living legend, as evidenced by Broadway Sings Beyoncé, the most recent in a new series that brings Broadway performers together to salute musical talents.
British songstress Adele was the first honored in the series in April, followed by a Michael Jackson tribute in September of this year.
Two dozen some-odd performers — with Broadway credentials that range from Jersey Boys to Rent, from Les Misérables to Bring it On — will come together on Monday night at (le) Poisson Rouge, a multimedia art cabaret in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City.
The show promises "new arrangements of songs from Beyoncé's four hit albums, including a few selections from her previous group, Destiny's Child."
Included in the repertoire of Bey's greatest will be "Irreplaceable" from B'Day, "Halo" and "Single Ladies" from I Am... Sasha Fierce, "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Say My Name" from the Destiny's Child days and "Love On Top" from her most recent studio album, 4.
Not dedicated enough to jet set to the Big Apple at a moment's notice but still want to catch the one-night-only performance? The event will be streamed online here beginning at 10:30 p.m. CST.
