    The Queen Midas

The Gulf Coast, including the Houston metro area, was devastated by Hurricane Harvey and many personally witnessed the insane amount of rain and damage that this disastrous storm caused. The support that the entire state has provided for those in need is overwhelming as people offer their time and money to help out.

Here's another way to add to the relief efforts: Go shopping. Countless designers and brands (both local and online) are donating proceeds of specific items or total purchases to the American Red Cross and other amazing charities that are helping those in need.

Among the items and stores we found are:

    "Stand Bayou City" T-shirt

Houston physician James Rinado has created a distinctive T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "Stand Bayou City" in a tile print. It retails for $25, with all proceeds donated to the Gulf Coast Community Foundation for Harvey disaster relief. The shirt is available online and will be distributed at the Eastside Farmer's Market on September 30.

James Avery "Deep in the Heart of Texas" charm

The Texas-based jeweler crafted a "Deep in the Heart of Texas" sterling silver charm to support our state in need. 100 percent of sales go to benefit Harvey relief organizations and the item, which starts at $40, is quickly selling out.

    Magnolia Market "Texas Forever" T-shirt

HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines are donating all proceeds from sales of their "Texas Forever" cotton tees from both their Waco store location and their online outpost.

    LolaandLina.com Jewelry

This newly launched jewelry accessories website based in Fort Worth is donating to the cause as well. The brand's co-founder Carolyn Thorp Osborne is a Houston native. Get chic earrings from designers like Mercedes Salazar and Mignonne Gavigan and a portion of the sales will be heading down to help those in need from the Houston flooding.

    Gretchen Roehrs Art

The popular fashion illustrator who uses fresh and bright foods as the clothing in her pieces is donating all proceeds from her print shop to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy for the next few weeks. Every purchase of one of her Instagram sensation prints will come with a bonus print of a fashion illustration of a Texas flag-like ensemble.

    Elaine Turner

Houston-based designer Elaine Turner is donating 10 percent of its sales, online and retail, to the American Red Cross. Turner is also donating 100 percent of sales from the "Longhorn Charm" of the Southern Charm Bar Jewelry Collection and 100 percent of sales from the custom designed "Texas Strong" T-shirt to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund through September 30. Turner stores in Houston, San Antonio, Southlake, and Plano boutiques are accepting lightly-worn clothing and toiletry donations.

    City Boots

This up-and-coming Dallas-based boot and accessories brand started by SMU grad Lizzy Chesnut is donating 15 percent of proceeds from boot sales to the Houston Food Bank. The geniuses behind these authentically handmade cowboy boots are extending this donation opportunity until Labor Day.

    Suzanna Dai Jewelry

This Austin-based jewelry designer is donating 25 percent of profits on all online sales to the American Red Cross now through September 5. Use code REDCROSS20 to get an additional 20 percent off of sale items to really seal the deal.

    Lime Crime Makeup

The hip cosmetics brand is donating 100 percent of sales of its Beet It Matte Velveteens Lipstick to the American Red Cross now through September 12. Pucker up for a good cause.

    Golden Thread Jewelry

The brand is donating 100 percent of proceeds from their large gold Texas-shaped pendant necklace to local shelters in Houston not supported by national charities. If you're wanting to support local, this is your item.

Kendra Scott Jewelry and Home Decor

The popular jewelry designer is donating half of all online purchases to the American Red Cross. The brand recently launched a beautiful collection of home decor items in addition to jewelry.

    M Penner

The Houston clothier is donating 10 percent of proceeds to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund established by Mayor Sylvester Turner to benefit those affected by the recent floods. Also, VK Nagrani, maker of "the best socks in the world" according to Esquire Magazine, will donate a pair of socks to flood victims for every pair of his socks or underwear purchased.

    Hari Mari Texas T-shirt

The popular flip flop company is making a difference by selling a T-shirt with the company's logo on the outline of Texas. All proceeds through the end of September will be donated to the relief efforts.

    Cakewalk Style Shop

This Houston boutique known or chic womenswear pledges to donate 10 percent of online and in-store sales through September to The American Red Cross, specifically to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Both the Woodlands and River Oaks location will be participating.

FIGS will open its new Rice Village Community Hub on December 6.

Healthcare apparel company FIGS is opening its first brick-and-mortar store in Texas with a new Community Hub in Rice Village. The retail space is designed to serve both as a store and a gathering spot for the city's healthcare community.

The Rice Village location opens this Saturday, December 6, with a public grand opening event on December 13 from 6 to 8 pm featuring giveaways, music, food, and drinks from local vendors. Joining outposts in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York City, the Houston location is the fourth Community Hub for the company and the only location in the South.

The store will carry the full range of FIGS products, including scrubwear, loungewear, and accessories. It will also host events and programming focused on healthcare topics, offering visitors opportunities to meet and share experiences.

At the new FIGS boutique, shoppers will find the Color Clinic, offering scrubwear in core colors with rotating seasonal options. The store also has a Customization Station, which provides embroidery for names, titles, practice or hospital logos, and local icon options available only at Community Hubs. Personalization is also available for scrub caps, outerwear, and accessories.

The brand, founded in 2013 by Heather Hasson and Trina Spear, is known for fashion-forward medical uniforms made from a proprietary fabric with four-way stretch, antimicrobial technology, moisture-wicking, and wrinkle resistance. Hasson and Spear began selling directly to healthcare workers in Los Angeles-area hospital parking lots before growing their presence as an online retailer.

CEO and co-founder Trina Spear believes Rice Village was the perfect choice due to its proximity to the Texas Medical Center. She said the company wanted a space that supports Houston healthcare professionals and gives them a place to shop and connect.

"Houston is home to the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world, and we are honored to bring a FIGS Community Hub to this city. This space is designed to serve and celebrate Houston healthcare professionals," said Spear. "Our Community Hubs create opportunities for customers to not only shop in a way that never previously existed, but to connect with each other and with FIGS on a deeper level."
