RodeoHouston reveals highly anticipated 2023 performer genres and concert ticket sale date
RodeoHouston fans are a step closer to knowing who 2023's musical acts will be and when they can score tickets to the shows.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo revealed the genre lineup for the 20-day run on Monday, December 12. The list, available online, also notes that tickets for all shows can be purchased on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in two "waves."
That mean shows from February 28-March 9 can be purchased at 10 am that day, while shows from March 10-March 19 can be purchased at 2 pm that day.
This new genre lineup notes 12 country shows — after already-revealed McCollum, Lauren Daigle, and Cody Jinks. Adding to The Chainsmokers (March 10), a pop and rock are on the bill on Tuesdays March 7 and March 14.
Friday, March 3 is the rodeo's annual Black Heritage Day, which means a hip-hop act — and fuels hopes for a trill repeat of the H-Town Takeoverby beloved Houston rap icon Bun B. A Norteño show fittingly hits the NRG Stage on Go Tejano Day (Sunday, March 12).
As diehard fans know, RodeoHouston announces the full showcase in ahead of the run; this year's reveal will be on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Tickets for Daigle, The Chainsmokers, and Jinks went on sale Thursday, December 8.
In late September, the the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced Conroe native Parker McCollum as the entertainer for the highly anticipated 2023 Opening Day Celebration (Tuesday, February 28, 2023). RodeoHouston runs February 28-March 19, 2023 at NRG Park.
