Houston has breathlessly counted the days for Taylor Swift's wildly anticipated Eras Tour stops at NRG Stadium this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 21, 22, and 23.

In a nod to Tay Tay, Harris County Jude Lina Hidalgo has officially renamed NRG Stadium to "NRG Stadium (Taylor's Version)" — that's a nod and wink to Swift's re-issued earlier albums. See what she did there?

Let it be known that this weekend will also be known as "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Weekend" in Harris County, per a county proclamation.

By now, hopefully, Swifties have their show attire planned. But if not, we're here to help with that perfect fit for all the Eras. Some have even adopted a cat, in honor of cat lady Tay, as the Humane Society is offering $13 adoptions this week (a nod to her lucky number).

Fits and cats aside, it's almost showtime. Here's what to know before the show.

Early Merch Day

Obvi, there's Tay Tay swag to be had. A reader told us she plans to arrive at NRG at around 5 am on Thursday, April 20 to get in line for Early Merch Day. The shopping officially kicks off at 10 am and runs through 7 pm and will be located just outside Bud Light Plaza on stadium grounds.

Reportedly, the merch will also available on Friday and Saturday show dates — but only to ticket-holding fans. Consider Thursday a chance for all to stock up on all the things. Merch truck schedules are:

• Friday: noon to midnight
• Saturday: noon to midnight
• Sunday: noon to midnight

What — and what not — to bring

Much like big concerts and events, Swift's ErasTour insists that bags brought in can't be larger than 12 inches by 6 inches and have to be completely clear. Small clutch purses are ok, so long as they're smaller than 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches — and don't need to be clear (though that would be kinda cool).

Water bottles are prohibited, as are big battery chargers — fans can charge their phones at designated charging stations. Don't bring a giant camera, please — leave the pro stuff at home and enjoy the show. Also, fans are encouraged to get decked out, but not wear anything that would impede the view of others around them.

As thoughtful as it is, leave the Tay Tay gifts and banners at home. She knows she's loved. Speaking of love, Tay-inspired friendship bracelets are totally cool to bring and trade.

Show sked

As for show days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), parking lots open at noon (orange, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple lots) with cashless option-only payments. Concert goers can grab merch at noon — again, cashless payments only.

All stadium gates open at 4:30 pm. The lights go down and the squeals of glee begin when the show starts at 6:30 pm each night.

Parking

Ridesharing is always the safest best, but for those who must park: parking is available at the aforementioned orange, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple lots for $40 per space via cashless payment (card, ApplePay, or Google Pay). Be advised that rates may change — this is Houston, after all.

Those ridesharing should be dropped off at yellow lot off Main Street and then walk the pedestrian bridge over Kirby to the stadium. Get the lowdown on rideshare dropoff and parent dropoff here.

Show time

As fans are aware, Swift's shows tend to run about three hours (all the eras!), with a couple of secret/mystery songs thrown in — so be sure to time those drink/food/restroom breaks.

As Taylor sings in "Ivy,": "Spring breaks loose, the time is near.” Get out there, Swifties.
