Tennis coach creep: Teacher accused of having sex with student wanted a schoolthreesome
An Atascocita High School teacher and tennis coach has been charged with sexual assault and possession of child pornography, accused of having sex with one of his students.
Taylor Lee McClain, a 43-year old English instructor, allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student, and used his cell phone to send and receive nude photographs of her.
According to court records, McClain was driving two students, ages 15 and 16, from a tennis fundraiser at an area country club to Phobia Haunted House, a popular area Halloween destination, on the evening of Oct. 20.
The coach and the 16-year-old girl allegedly proceeded to have sex in the back seat while the 15-year-old girl drove them around the subdivision.
McClain and the 16-year-old, who is the victim in the case, sat in the front seat of his car, drinking Smirnoff Ice, while the other student sat in the back. Then, according to the 15-year-old’s testimony, McClain and his front-seat passenger began to engage in oral sex as he continued to drive.
When the trio left the haunted house, the 16-year-old texted her friend and asked if she would be interested in joining in a threesome with McClain, to which the friend responded “no.”
As they headed back towards to the girls’ subdivision, McClain stopped the car and asked if the 15-year-old could drive his car. He and the 16-year-old girl allegedly proceeded to have sex in the back seat while the 15-year-old girl drove them around the subdivision.
After dropping the girls off, McClain texted the complainant, expressing his disappointment at her friend’s disinterest in joining in their sexual endeavors. “I know she doesn’t know what she’s missing,” the 16-year-old victim texted back. “You really do know how to please a woman.”
Police obtained the coach's cell phone in early November and say they found approximately 20 images of the underage victim, constituting child pornography. McClain was placed on administrative leave from the high school, and subsequently stepped down from his position a few days later.
McClain was arraigned on Dec. 18, and his bail was set at $90,000 for the three combined felony charges. It was posted by an area bondsman, and he is set to reappear in court Feb. 7.
