Houstonians love their labels, but don't buy into designer coffee

New data released from financial site Mint.com ranks Houston among the 10 cities spending the least on designer coffee.
The study doesn't seem to take into account those java lovers who brew top-grade coffee at home, concentrating on those who frequent top-grade brands like Starbuck's and Peet's.
According to Mint, average Houston residents spent about $310 on designer coffee in 2009 compared to Seattle, where the average resident spends an incredible $674 a year gorging on gourmet.
But what about the booming business of indie shops like Antidote or Brasil? We wonder if they're even on Mint's radar. For me, no price is too costly for my daily fix (sounds healthy, right?)
Tell us — how much is too much? Do you make a morning stop or brew your own? Or do you fit in with Houston's image and disdain coffee all together?
