The 411: It was the first-ever Elie Saab trunk show in Houston and the ladies turned out in style not only to see the fab fashions for spring but also to support Trees of Hope, a charity near and dear to Lynn Wyatt's heart. La Wyatt was guest of honor at the intimate luncheon hosted by Mickey Rosmarin.
Saab is a favorite of red-carpet celebrities and the beautiful designs tempted the Houston ladies, though the peek-a-boo lace ensembles with the models' thongs and cheeks exposed caused a few riffles in the well-heeled crowd. No worries for the modest among the fashionistas. Tootsies' Fady Armanious assured the ladies that the dresses can easily be lined. The bare look was primarily a runway confection.
City Kitchen provided the ladylike fare in the store's bright, mirrored dining salon while The Events Co. created an elegant setting with white flowers, white linens and crystal candelabra.
