Drive and Dine
Double the fun: VIPs cruise and dine in style at Cadillac "Road to Table" culinary experience
It was a smooth ride for a group of nearly 500 Houston influentials at Cadillac's recent Road to Table culinary experience, a two-day drive and dine affair.
Guests, who were given the option to choose from either of two evenings, cruised the town in style in decked-out Cadillac luxury automobiles, feasted at one of two dinner seatings at one of the city’s most lauded restaurants, Pax Americana, and sipped the night away at River Oaks neighborhood bar, 1919 Wine & Mixology.
The journey began as attendees gathered at the bar and traded in their keys for a turn behind the wheel of an all-new 2016 Cadillac ATS. They then hit the road for a private, three-course dinner at Pax Americana, where they had the entire Montrose-area eatery to themselves.
The menu of stellar fare from chef Adam Dorris’ kitchen included main course options of free-range chicken, 44 Farms strip loin and Gulf grouper, each paired with a glass of wine or a cocktail. Pastry chef Martha Wilcox and restaurateur Sheperd Ross thanked the crowd for attending as diners lingered over dessert before being chauffeured in plush 2016 Cadillac Escalades back to 1919 Wine & Mixology for an exclusive soiree.
Capping off the evening, bartenders mixed cocktails, including a create-your-own version (with a range of flavors and ingredients from which to choose), as partygoers toasted the evening.
VIPs enjoying the unique event included Courtney Zuboswki Haas, Great Day Houston’s Courtney Perna, Katherine Whaley and fiance, Chris Wadley, Eric and Shanna Jones, Diane Hilton, Verion Keller, Jackie Henry, Shauna Hammack and Kayla Alley.
