While the future of the Astrodome remains a contentious issue, many Houstonians are still crazy after all these years for the Eighth Wonder of the World, as proven by the thousands who lined up last week to celebrate the structure's 50th birthday.

For the third time, a limited number of stadium seats are up for grabs at $200 per pair (limit: two pair per person) via an online sale on the NRG Park website. Act fast, though, if past sales are any indication, they'll sell out quickly.
Selections include padded seats in silver, red or orange and black bleacher seats.
Be ready to flex your muscles. Buyers are responsible for picking up their prized goods at NRG Arena, between June 11 and 13, and transporting the 50-pound set home.
And make sure you’re up for the commitment. All sales are final.
Interior pieces of the Dome including seats, concession equipment and Astroturf, first went on sale in 2013, just weeks before voters turned thumbs down on a $217 million plan to turn it into an all-purpose sports arena. In that public sale, 800 seats, at $200 a pair, quickly sold out, along with other merchandise.
Another online-only sale also sold off more Astrodome memorabilia.
Participants at the recent Astrodome birthday party saw a number of seats on display, which led to speculation about another sale. Officials did not disclose how many seats will be on sale or if there are any more remaining after this sale ends.
