Top toques are on their toes when cooking with Houston Ballet stars
What: Houston Ballet's Ballet Barre's "A Dinner in Five Acts."
Where: Brennan's of Houston.
The 411: Five chefs, five courses, five dancers — it was the recipe for a yummy evening when Houston Ballet's young professional group reprised its popular evening of fine dining with dancers in the kitchen. Leading the gourmet charge were Brennan's Danny Trace, Underbelly's Chris Shepherd, Haven's Randy Evans, Sparrow Bar + Cookshop's Monica Pope and Rebecca Masson of Fluff Bake Bar. En pointe as sous chefs were Jessica Collado, Melody Mennite, Aaron Robison, Lauren Strongin and Joe Walsh. Ballet Barre chair Christine Transier and Ballet Barre founders Lindsey Brown and Kristy Bradshaw welcomed the sellout crowd that spread across Brennan's second floor party rooms. Congrats to dinner chairs Derith and Dr. Darryl Cass.
Who: Houston Ballet leaders artistic director Stanton Welch and managing director Jim Nelson plus Jessica and Chris Grizzaffi, Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia, Jo and Jim Furr, Lynda Transier, Ivana and John Rouse, Lindley and Jason Arnoldy and Ballet Ball chair Shawn Stephens.
