The scoop: One of spring's first big fashion events drew a stylish Houston crowd who dressed to impress in bold colors and chic florals. Designer Christian Siriano dazzled the crowd with a runway show featuring looks from his spring and resort collections and dicussed a wide range of topics, from dressing celebrities for the red carpet to the effects of his Project Runway win on his career, in an on-stage interview with yours truly.
The fashion theme continued as Merele Yarborough was honored as the 2017 HCC Design Society Fashion Icon and students from the HCC fashion design program showcased their latest creations in the foyer.
Who: Passion for Fashion so-chairs Jeff Shell and Ally Shell van Koolwijk, Channel 2's Sofia Ojeda, who emceed the luncheon, Kelly Lubanko, Suzette Brimmer, Susanne Dawley, Beth Muecke, Becca Cason Thrash, Diane Lokey Farb, Vicki Rizzo, Linda Kuykendall, Gracie Cavnar, Theresa Roemer, Beth Wolff, Ceron, Staci Henderson, Anika Jackson, David Peck, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Kelly Gale Amen, Andrea Bonner, Chris Goins and Elizabeth Anthony owner Julie Roberts,who brought Siriano in for the event.
