Sambuca Jazz Cafe
|
For an evening of light music or a swanky happy hour, Sambuca is one of the best downtown destinations. Located in the former Rice Hotel (which was built in 1913 and is on the National Register of Historic Places) this popular bar and live music venue is also an ambitious restaurant with dishes such as teriyaki-glazed salmon, lobster and shrimp-stuffed enchiladas and beignets stuffed with mozzarella and prosciuto. But it shines best as a bar and a scene where people go to be relax and unwind while taking in some cool jazz sounds.
Sambuca is known for jazz, but if that's not your scene, scat cat, check the Sambuca calendar and come when the band on stage is playing Latin, classic rock, acoustic rock, American standards or blues.
