A Rolex in Your Christmas Stocking?
Limited edition watches create big buzz for Rolex fans at holiday launch party
Solid gold and diamond-studded watches had everyone swooning at IW Marks Jewelers for the party launching the Oyster Perpetual DayDate 40 mm watch. For the holiday fete, Rolex sent in expert Jeff Cotton to escort the rare collection of limited edition timepieces and discuss their genesis.
Hosts for this "Art of Watchmaking" evening were Joanna and Brad Marks.
To-die-for watches included a 26 mm Pearl Master Limited Edition encrusted with diamonds, a solid yellow gold 18-karat Pearl Master Limited Edition and a rare Platinum Daytona with a glacier blue diamond dial. Those babies will be on display (and available for purchase, Santa) through the end of the year.
Models circled through the jewelry emporium sporting the Rolexes while Caswell & Co. provided the holiday fare and guitarist Marc Garvin delivered the holiday tunes.
In the mix were Diane and John Riley, Elizabeth and Alan Stein, Hannah and Cal McNair, Monica Blaisdell, Joanne and David Preng, Marquerite and Mike Axelrad, Carol and Jerry Hill and Rice football coach David Bailiff.
