Heights lawyers celebrate holidays with a Cajun-themed bash for Houston Export Council
They rolled up the carpets and put on their party hats, figuratively speaking, at the Joiner Law Firm offices when firm founderJamie Joiner hosted a Cajun-themed holiday bash for the non-profit Houston District Export Council. Joiner, chair of the council, transformed her Heights Boulevard law offices into party central thanks in no small part to the sounds of rocking Steve Krase and his band.
A native of Louisiana, Joiner tapped Absolute Divine Catering to whip up a Cajun menu that provided sustenance for the dancing and singing that went on into the night in the Victorian style house that serves as home to the firm of international trade lawyers. More than 200 partygoers joined the fun including local dignitaries from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Greater Houston Partnership Office of International Investment and Trade and some foreign chambers as well.
The party crowd included Frank Guerra, Steve Recobs, Bojan Vukovic, Jennifer Hayes, Jeff Vaden, Pam Plagens, Aki Shimada, Amanda Dramberger, Felipe Guzman, Najla Tanous and Joe Ringer.
