The 411: Retail therapy and volunteering opportunities were the rational for this fashionable fete, for which Dress for Success Houston was morphed into a shopping summer pop-up that offered wearables and accessories from Dao Chloe Dao and Temple Street Jewelry.
With the help of inspirational stories, the social that was attended by 120 gals prompted 47 emerging philanthropists to sign up for WOW memberships.
Dishing advice on looking chic and fabulous while surviving Houston's sultry season were stylists Valerie Dittner of Adorn Yourself Accordingly and Melissa Sugulas of Melissa Sugulas Style. Courtesy of Tre Spa, guests enjoyed quick hair-dos and makeup touch-ups while savoring nibbles from The Counter, Raising Cane's, Macarons by Nour and Yeti Sunshine. A lovely Coach bag donated by Jason Kaminsky and Worthit.co was featured at a raffle.
It was up to charismatic designer Chloe Dao, as the gathering's feature celebrity, to rally as many guests to join the efforts of Women of Wardrobe, the young professional contingency of the nonprofit that provides professional attire and career development services for disadvantaged women.
