Christian academy's new home celebrated by power players at thoughtful luncheon
What: San Francisco Nativity Academy of Houston benefit luncheon.
Where: The Junior League of Houston.
The scoop: More than 300 city influencers joined forces in support of the faith-based, non-tuition school available exclusively to low-income families. The event served not only as a fundraiser but also as a celebration of the new school's home in the Gulfton area. Part of the NativityMiguel nationwide network, the Houston school opens in August with its first class of Pre-K students.
Dr. Jen Arnold of TLC's The Little Couple was guest speaker, reminding the gathering that in order to accomplish great things, you have to think big. KTRK Channel 13 news anchor Tom Koch served as emcee of the event chaired by Tara and David Wuthrich.
