The scoop: The second in a series of "European Saturdays" celebrations saluted the British monarch in food, drink and fine British automobiles. Guests gathered in the development's community center for traditional British entertainment in the form of a bagpiper and British-style party fare from Tony's catering.
Tours of the elegant model homes included British beer tastings in custom pint mugs. Coventry Homes visitors sampled the classic Guinness Draught along with two varieties from Samuel Smith. Toll Brothers served Bass, Boddington, and Belhaven while Pelican builders rounded out the beer selections with Belhaven Scottish Ale, Fullers Extra Special Bitters Export, and the Strong Pale Ale from Old Speckled Hen.
Jaguar Range Rover Houston Central brought out the latest four-wheel models for inspection and test drives.
