The theme might have been Boys Night Out at the Men with Momentum fundraiser at Momentum Porsche, but there were plenty of gals in the mix that benefited Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA).
In fact, two women starred in the party play — chic hostess Diane Caplan, Momentum's ecommerce and marketing director, and "Cigar Chick" Teresa Merchant. But it was, after all, the guys who triumphed on this night, beginning with chairs Sean Johnson, senior counsel-corporate at Nexen Petroleum, and Mike Donovan, principal of HTS Energy.
While the gents dreamed of driving off in a Porsche, they could make themselves at home in the outdoor cigar lounge where Merchant suggested craft beer (Saint Arnold Brewing Company) and cigar pairings with the stogies courtesy of the Briar Shoppe. For femmes in the group, there were popup shops from SAM and lilli, Edward Sanchez Vanity Lounge, Hanh Tran handbags and Stella & Dot jewelry.
The Men with Momentum event was created to enlist male community and business leaders as role models and champions of non-violent relationships.
Supporting the cause were guests including Claire Johnson, Mike Wiesenthal, John Cone, Andy Iversen, Christy Iversen, Stephany Olsen-LeGrand, Sameer Mohan, Jason Jordan, Mike Payne, Aaron Payne, Stephen Johnson, Allison Carl, Hanh Tran and Mark Davis.
