The scoop: The Houston Design Center welcomed an illustrious lineup of talent for its inaugural spring event Design in Bloom presented by Flower Magazine. Design professionals and enthusiasts flocked the center to gather insight and inspiration from celebrated industry experts.
Renowned interior designer and author Charlotte Moss, award-winning architect Gil Schafer, lifestyle entrepreneur India Hicks, and master floral designer Remco Van Vliet gathered in Bunch & Shoemaker’s showroom for an inspiring discussion at the Design in Bloom VIP Panel presented by Audi Central Houston and moderated by Margot Shaw, Founder of Flower Magazine. Following the discussion, VIP guests were invited to Leisure Collections showroom, which had been transformed into the Bloom Room, for book signings and lunch.
Throughout the day, guests attended breakout discussions for India Hicks presented by Heritage Texas Properties and hosted by Design House; Gil Schafer presented by Newberry Architecture and hosted by Off White; Charlotte Moss with Flower Magazine presented by Hotel Granduca and hosted by Charlotte Nail Antiques; and Remco Van Vliet presented by The Revere and Pelican Builders and hosted by Kitchen & Bath Concepts.

Proceeds from the Brookwood Plant Sale benefitted The Brookwood Community, an organization providing spiritual, educational, and vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities.
The festivities concluded with the Design in Bloom Spring Mixer hosted by Dream Theaters, where guests sipped on Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Rombauer wines, and pours of The Macallan scotch.
