Houston's Most Eligible Bachelors and Bachelorettes enjoy Artesa wine time at a West Ave hot spot
What: CultureMap Presents: Friends of Artesa
Where:Crú Wine Bar
The 411: As part of his annual swing through Texas, winemaker Mark Beringer stopped by West Ave hotspot Cru to present Artesa's latest vintages. The Napa Valley-grown chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon had taste buds tingling as attendees eagerly lined up for seconds (and thirds). Beringer may be a fourth generation winemaker, but that pales in comparison to Artesa owners the Raventos family of Spain, whose winemaking history dates to the mid-16th century.
Meanwhile Crú's staff worked the room with a variety of delectable bites like roast beef sliders and mini crab cakes. Several of CultureMap's Most Eligible Bachelors & Bachelorettes took in the scene, including Brittany King, Laura Ferguson, Kelley Elliott and Lawrence Clayton.
Local Master Sommelier Guy Stout represented Houston's wine world, along with winery representatives George MacDonald and Mark Dempsey.
