The shoes fit and these ladies bought them at the Jimmy Choo re-launch benefitparty
Fresh — that was the feel in the Jimmy Choo boutique in the Galleria, which unveiled a youthful ambiance on Thursday two weeks after closing for a pre-spring facelift. After 10 years of selling some of the most sought-after pumps and sandals on the planet, the shop was boosted by a subtle refresher.
In celebration, the boutique, along with Susan Plank and Sarah Simon, hosted a night of benefit shopping with a percentage of proceeds shared between Heroes for Children and Dec My Room. No worries over dividing the spoils. The ladies seriously shopped and at $750 and up for the prized, iconic footwear, the charity dollars rolled in. Store manager Sonya Shernak was clearly pleased.
It wasn't all about the ladies, however. Among the gents checking out the Jimmy Choo offerings was Dr. Michael Yafi, a pediatric endocrinologist with a penchant for high style. He wore a pair of embroidered Jimmy Choo slippers from the Men's Collection that he had purchased in Italy. He allowed that he has two other Jimmy Choo pairs (per the photos on his iPhone) that he had ordered from the Internet. And, no, there are no Men's Collection Jimmy Choo boutiques in the U.S. — yet.
Among those loving the alluring shoes and handbags were Amy Lee, Sarah Deutser, Lori Geshay, Donae Chramosta, Kalie Gusemano, Christine Hoffer, Celina Stabell, Ted Loch-Temzelides and Beata Loch, Diane Lokey Farb and Susan Litts.
