Lovin' Texans
Houston Texans and a top chef display that lovin' feelin' on a fashionable catwalk
With Houston Texans COO and vice chairman Cal McNair and his stunning wife, Hannah, co-chairing Tootsies' "Love's in Fashion" fundraiser, what teammate would dare turn down the invitation to strut the catwalk with his favorite woman?
Thus, the explanation for the number of beefy guys escorting beautiful women in the fashion parade benefiting Dec My Room.
The McNairs co-chaired the event with I.W. Marks Jewelers honcho Brad Marks and his stunning wife Joanna (identical twin to Hannah McNair).
The traditional celebration of loving couples included former Texans quarterback Chris Myers; linebackers Brian Cushing, John Simon, and Max Bullough; tight end Garrett Graham; center Jon Weeks; punter Shane Lechler; and in a twist on the players escorting their wives, cornerback Kareem Jackson walked the runway with his 4-month-old daughter, Kaylen, perched on his arm while wife Amber applauded from the sidelines.
Voice of the Houston Texans Marc Vandermeer, who strutted his stuff with wife Corrine, shared duties as emcee with KHOU Channel 11 meteorologist Chita Johnson, who was drop-dead gorgeous in a white beaded gown by Badgley Mischka. She and her fiance, Lane Craft, were among the spotlighted loving couples, the ladies of which were outfitted by Tootsies.
Honorary chairs Susan and Mike Plank displayed their catwalk swagger as did their daughter Dec My Room founder Kendall Plank, escorted by James Glennon, the non-profit's first recipient of personalized hospital room decor.
Others in the "Love's in Fashion" parade were Reef chef Bryan Caswell and wife Jennifer, Carol and Mike Linn, Bruce Padilla and Shelby Kibodeaux, Ileana and Mike Trevino, Ellie and Michael Francisco, Dr. Lisa Santos and Bill Pugh, Julie and Stephen Chen, and Charlie Hartland, father of the identical twins, escorted by Hannah McNair.
Attended by 400 guests, the benefit raised close to $100,000 for Dec My Room programs.
