Rockin' and rollin' at RDG previewed the weekend partying to come
No question that restaurateurs Mimi and Robert Del Grande and Candice and Lonnie Schiller are the hosts with the mosts. No surprises then that when they ramped up the party volume as honorary chairs for a charity bash at RDG + Bar Annie on Sunday night, they proved their mettle once again.
While Moodafaruka provided the tunes, the RDG kitchen supplied the light bites and Bar Annie the custom cocktails, Steve Tyrell and his bride, interior designer Karen Pulaski, filled their roles as chairs of the party that officially launched the CancerForward website.
It was four hours of fundraising, serious schmoozing and music that was something of a precursor of the musical nights that the Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group has planned for weekends throughout January. Look for live entertainment in the street-level Blvd. Lounge on both Friday and Saturday nights. And count on Amin Safari, Jando and Moodafaruka to perform.
The party crowd included CancerForward notables co-founders Beth Sanders Moore and Bo Bothe and a host of board members including fashion designer Bill Hamilton in from his home base in New York.
Among the RDG + Bar Annie stalwarts in the mix were KPRC's Dominique Sachse with Nick Florescu, Lisa and Michael Holthouse, Susan and Mike Plank, Debbie and Rudy Festari, Ceron, Renea Abbott and Greg Manteris.
