Famed Chef On Eating Binge
Bam! Emeril Lagasse stirs up the kitchen at Houston restaurant — orders nearly everything on the menu

What's a famed celebrity chef going to order when he pops into Houston for a Gulf Coast seafood lunch with friends? Everything on the menu.
Well, almost everything. Just ask Reef's Bill Floyd, who welcomedEmeril Lagasse to the Midtown eatery at lunch on Thursday. Think rock shrimp po' boys, Gulf crab carbonara, reef banh mi, seared scallops and more. Lagasee's favorite dish — the whole red snapper.
Chef de Cuisine J.D. Fouche, coincidentally from New Orleans where Lagasse rose to fame, manned the kitchen and, according to Floyd, "was over the moon to cook for Emeril."
Lagasse was the guest of Houstonian John Pearson. The gents' wives share a close friendship.
Joining the table were Michael Heim, Chris Wallaxe, Greg Deib, Farzan Rhemtulla and John Ngunyh.
