Hat Creek Burger in Houston
Austin-based burger chain unveils 3 Houston-area locations for 2019
From Pluckers to Uchi, Houstonians have shown lots of affection for Austin-based restaurants. Now, a family-friendly burger concept has plans to join the eastward movement.
Hat Creek Burger Company will open three Houston-area locations in 2019, the company tells CultureMap. The fast-casual burger joint will open in the Spring/Klein area near Louetta Road and Champion Forest Drive, in the Katy area at Royal Montreal Drive and Mason Road, and in Fulshear at the intersection of FM 1463 and South Fry Road.
"We’ve been wanting to get to Houston ever since we started building our first few locations in Austin," the company tells CultureMap via email. "With the incredible amount of family growth in the area, it was extremely appealing to us to grow our brand here. We feel we bring an experience the community is missing and desiring."
Hat Creek serves burgers, milkshakes, and gluten-free chicken flashers. Each location features a custom playscape for children, some including a mini Airstream trailer.
In addition to the lunch and dinner menu, Hat Creek also offers a full breakfast menu of tacos, platters, and pancakes from 7-10:30 am daily.
The Houston-area locations are part of the restaurant's statewide growth strategy. In addition to locations across the Austin area, it operates restaurants in the Dallas suburbs of McKinney and Rowlett. Plans are underway for locations in Allen, Richardson, Sachse, and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
