Texadelphia expands
Cult-favorite cheesesteaks sauce up new locations in Katy and Memorial
Houstonians will soon have two new places to chow down on Pizza Steak and Founder's Favorite sandwiches. Texadelphia will add locations in Katy and Memorial, according to a release.
The restaurant has been making a comeback since 2017, when the first new location opened on Westheimer. A Montrose location followed last year.
As its name implies, the restaurant brings Texan flavors to the classic cheesesteak. Its signature mustard blend and the ability to get queso in place of the traditional provolone and mozzarella give it a Texas accent. Wings, salads, and sandwiches round out food offeres, while a selection of cocktails and craft beer help keep the party going.
The new locations will be operated by franchisees Jeremy Sanders and Kenny Owen, who also own Texadelphia locations in Vintage Park and Galveston. Like their other two restaurants, these new establishments will have a sports bar feel with plenty of TVs.
Located at 9655 Katy Fwy., the Memorial location will join Masraff's in Moody National Companies' six-story mixed-use development that's opening on the site of a former Toys R Us. Katy's location at 1321 N. Westgreen Blvd. will feature a second floor "sky lounge" and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Both restaurants are seeking to raise between $125,000 and $150,000 via the NextSeed crowdfunding platforms. Investors who contribute $1,000 or more may receive invites to a special party, personalized beer mugs, and gift certificates for food and drinks.
