Calling the piano man! Upscale bar with live music debuts in old Brownstone
Oct 21, 2010 | 5:18 pm
Red Room proprietor Beau Theriot has opened a new venture at 2736 Virginia in the old Brownstone Restaurant complex. The upscale piano bar, called 88 keys, is designed to be a low-key (no pun intended) before or after-dinner spot to relax with something a little better than beer.
Weekday "social hour" offers happy hour drink prices and complimentary hors d'oeurves, with live music nightly by local pianists Theresa Behenna and Greg Giacona, who plan to play an array of styles from pop to jazz to Broadway.
88 Keys is only open until 10:30 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on Saturday, but if the itch to dance and drink endures, easy access is had next door at Theriot's Red Room.
