Jim Parsons and the Sugar Hooker hook up? Masson bringing treats to Big BangTheory & NASA
Is there a better way to send a thank you than by offering piles of sweet treats from Rebecca Masson's Fluff Bake Bar? We think not, and the smarties behind television hit The Big Bang Theory apparently agree.
On the show's season finale last May, physicist/engineer Howard Wolowitz (played by Simon Helberg) was launched via Russian rocket for a stint on the International Space Station, a plotline that continues when the new season starts on Sept. 27.
A box of treats is also being sent to the show's set, where at least one Houstonian — Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper — can also appreciate them.
According to Masson, Big Bang Theory has been working with a group of five or six people at NASA to make the space scenes work, including a guest appearance on the show by astronaut Mike Massimino. The crew was looking for a way to thank NASA for all their help when someone saw Masson's turn on Unique Eats and contacted her to put in an order.
"I'm super excited," Masson tells CultureMap. "I mean, how often do you get to go to NASA?"
Masson is delivering a mix of fluffernutters, her special Sugar Hooker Oreos, and new "cup|cakes" to the Johnson Space Center later this week, plus some themed treats. "We thought moon pies would be appropriate," she says.
A small box of treats is also being sent to the show's set in California, where at least one Houstonian — Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper — can also appreciate them.
