It's only been a couple weeks since Elouise Jones Adams, the longtime proprietor of Ouisie's Table, announced she will be opening a new concept a few blocks away on Westheimer in River Oaks.
Now Adams is releasing a few details about the new place. The name of the new restaurant will be The Bird & The Bear, Ouisie's American Bistro, which calls to mind Adams' original restaurant while carving out a seperate identity for the space, which is currently housing Tony Mandola's Miracle Location.
The Bird & The Bear "features a traveling black bear accompanied by an adventurous blue bird, both of which illustrate the spirit [Adams] hopes to capture inside," reads the announcement. The restaurant is said to feature some Ouisie's Table favorites in an eclectic Southern-influenced bistro menu, and is set to open in the fall.
Today Adams also announced that joining her at The Bird & The Bear is Wafi Dinari as managing partner after years of working with Adams as general manager at Ouisie's Table.
