King's BierHaus Is Coming
Pearland's favorite German restaurant takes aim at the Heights: Are you ready for wurst?
One of Pearland's most popular restaurant will open a second location near the Heights.
No, Ronnie Killen hasn't finally made good on his plans to come north. Instead, it's King's Biergarten, the German restaurant that's evolved over the past seven years from a 45-seat pub into a sprawling, 350-seat mega-restaurant devoted to all things bier, wurst, and Fußball.
In a nod to the original, the new location will be called King's BierHaus, and the release touts it will be "customized for the Heights and surrounding neighborhoods." Hopefully, that means the Pearland location's all-German beer list gets at least a few craft options, too.
As for the location, it's technically Heights-adjacent in Shady Acres — on East T. C. Jester Boulevard near Ella. Still, King's Biergarten's success serving approximately 15,000 customers monthly suggests that it could be a big hit. Look for more information as the fall 2016 opening date approaches.
