Chalk up another retail win for The Woodlands. Tiffany & Co., the newest luxury neighbor to move into Market Street, has opened, taking design cues from Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship location — right down to the a 13-foot clock that stands just outside the store.
The highly anticipated 3,500 square-foot store (which CultureMap wrote about first in June) debuted Friday just in time for holiday shopping. This is the second Houston-area location for Tiffany & Co., best known for its diamond engagement rings and trim blue boxes.
Nods to the Fifth Avenue flagship store are evident in an intricate stainless steel grille that incorporates a wheatleaf pattern abstracted from an architectural detail found in the New York boutique. Other interior details shine like silvery wood paneling, pearlescent wall coverings and a silver leaf chandelier reflecting the Tiffany & Co. legacy.
Just as with The Galleria location, the newest Tiffany’s store will sell sterling silver collections, nature-inspired designs by Jean Schlumberger, the sculptural designs of Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso’s colorful pieces. Charms, watches, accessories and engraving are also available.
