Most Expensive Townhome
Most expensive townhome in Houston is sold in record-setting transaction
A 7,718-square foot townhouse planned for the River Oaks-area Saint Honoré development has been sold for $3.15 million in what is believed to be a record price for such a property.
Sudhoff Properties calls it "the most expensive townhome sold in Houston." Donna Sonne Wright was the listing agent on the sale. The buyer was not disclosed.
Labeled "The Livingston" in builders Röhe & Wright's brochure for the property, located just off San Felipe near Kirby and Shepherd, the four-story home is the largest Saint Honoré floor plan option. The residence includes four bedrooms, home theater, wine room, grand salon, library, three-car garage and covered loggia with views of the Houston skyline.
In addition, The Livingston comes complete with a "Texas Basement," a flexible 750- to 1,750-square-foot space on the lower level that can be customized to the owners' vision. Throughout is "distinctive architectural detail inspired by les hotels particulier de Paris," according to a press release announcing the sale.
All 10 custom residences at Saint Honoré, located at 1900 Revere, will “feature unparalleled Parisian architectural detail and design worthy of royalty,” the Röhe & Wright website notes. Other floor plans bear names such as "The Franklin" and "The Straus" for prominent Americans who were ambassadors to France.
Construction is to commence when Saint Honoré is 50 percent sold. Projected completion is 12 months from start date.
The Houston Chronicle reports that, prior to this sale, the most expensive townhome sold through the Multiple Listing Service occurred in 2010. The unit at Waterway Court in The Woodlands was listed for $1.79 million. The sales price was not disclosed.
