Julianne Hough, aspiring country music singer and beard ... er girlfriend ... to Ryan Seacrest, attempted to spark controversy at a show in Baltimore by suggesting that her video for the song "Is That So Wrong," in which she appears clad in panties, is "kinda banned."
She declared to her audience, "This next song — funny story. I shot a music video for it, and Country Music Television banned it. Apparently, I was taking off too many clothes as I was dancing across my bedroom."
Sorry, Hough, but it's actually a contract issue. CMT and parent company MTV are still in talks with Hough's label's video distributor, VEVO, and until that gets settled, the clip won't appear on air.
"We world premiered the video back in July," a CMT rep told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "We took it down shortly thereafter due to ongoing contract negotiations with Julianne's label, Universal Music Group."
The 22-year-old Dancing With The Stars publicity stunter will have to find a few more tricks if she wants to sell records.
