It was a new idea for BCBG Max Azria that seemed to be a hit in Houston Wednesday night even as it was being tried out this same week in Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco — designate a "brand ambassador" and throw a party in The Galleria store with her guest list.
In other words, stir up a little BCBG Max Azria excitement among the fashion set.
CultureMap's own Meredith Riddle, senior sales executive, was tapped to represent the uber-chic hipster line in Houston and she rounded up a few equally stylish BFFs to join her as party hosts. Stepping up to the fashion plate with Meredith in the sizzling hot/wallet-friendly label were Kate Stukenberg, Lindley Arnoldy, Monica Bailey Bickers and Ashley Pearce.
The ladies sipped bubbly and nibbled on Maison Burdisso's gluten-free macarons served by the charming Graham Gemoets and team.
As Ali Martin, BCBG regional visual manager, said of the party, "It's a night for champagne and shopping. And who doesn't love that!" Shopping they surely did as the dressing rooms were packed as the leather and glitzy pieces flew off the racks.
Partygoers lapping up the champagne and the fashion included Allie Fields, Elizabeth Fertitta, Alison Miller, Eve French, Laurie Dykoski, Kristen Nix, Colin Moussa, Raana Arjomand, Michelle Yeglic, Margaret and Bryant Fitts, Michael Mandola, Molly Evans, Louise Turner and Lucia Clark.
