Closet intelligence: Gray is the new black — only hotter and more flattering
Sep 8, 2013 | 11:32 am
The color gray often comes with negative connotations — dreary weather, aging and a recent controversial book. But this formerly downtrodden hue has found a new life.
This fall, push those black pieces to the back of your closet, because gray is the new hot neutral. Not only does gray pair nicely with other neutrals, but it also complements most other colors as well, from brights to pastels.
Moms have always loved black for its versatility and ability to hide stains. But gray is less severe and therefore more flattering than that old standby.
So give gray a chance. You may discover you have a new neutral go-to.
