Ralph Lauren doesn't just show men how to dress in one specific way, The Polo Ralph Lauren spring/summer 2016 collection, recently unveiled during New York Men's Fashion Week, offers options for just about any occasion, with a range of styles from stylish suits to cutting-edge activewear.
For work or dressier outings, polished yet relaxed suits in lightweight fabrics of tan, grey or navy feature a contemporary look, with a slimmer silhouette, narrow notch lapels and soft shoulders. The double-breasted look is back in a trim navy tuxedo or navy linen herringbone jacket paired with a cream pant. And a blue denim suit with snazzy vest offers a more casual way to dress up.
Athletic wear takes on a high-tech edge with power-stretch knit jogging pants, graphic T-shirts, fleece shorts and lightweight jackets in a camo design.
The suits are styled with white and blue dress shirts and solid, dark ties or, with the denim suit, a striped chambray shirt and striped tie.
For more laid-back living, the collection features a slew of looks, including cargo pants in olive or tan, frayed vintage-looking jeans and shirts with Southwestern pattern details.
Urban and classic styles are often mixed for the city dweller doesn't want to look too buttoned-up. A varsity-inspired sweatshirt and sweatpants are worn with a classic herringbone sportcoat. Nylon jackets and pants are paired with sport shirts and ties. Military cargos in olive and tan are worn with faded plaid work shirts and performance jackets.

Outerwear is just as varied too, ranging from a three-layer nylon camouflage print military coat to a red fireman’s jacket with metal closures and brown leather buckles. A navy nylon trench is worn over a cotton and cashmere sweater and a Black Watch plaid belted four-pocket moto jacket is styled with a navy cardigan, crisp white trouser and striped shirt and tie.
