We're not the only ones who love bad pants.
John Daly has given new meaning to the idea of wearing a really horrendously awful pair of pants on the fairway. During the first two rounds of the British Open, he shocked the crowd with eye-assaulting paisley prints — purple during the first round and pink and green during the second round.
Reviews were largely negative. “I feel the paisley could be more attractive,” designer Nikhil Mehra told the Wall Street Journal. “These look like Barbie took her pajamas off and gave them to John Daly.”
But Daly didn't care. "The good thing about all these pants [made by one of his sponsors, Loudmouth Golf] is that you can get dressed in the dark, because every shirt is going to match,” he told the press after his first round.
Houston organizers of the 13th Annual Bad Pants Open Golf Tournament at the Clubs of Kingwood in October believe Daly has nothing on them. Vote now in our contest to pick the pair of bad pants that I'll wear to the kickoff party next month.
