The 411: The Dutch brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary as it arrives in Houston to open its lone Texas store. The partying began in the new Galleria boutique where VIP customers enjoyed a first look at the merchandise over bubbly, wine and beer.
But out of the 375 storefronts in The Galleria, what makes G-Star RAW so special? According to franchise partner Farshad Arshid, "It is all about their revolutionary concept of the 3D denim. Instead of simply using two panels to create any regular pair of jeans, G-Star includes arcs, curvatures, darting in the knee and an extra panel that allows the pair of pants to actually take the shape of your leg, customizing them over time."
In addition the attention to colors and fabrics (of which they have a vast array), the main focus is the fit.
The next stop, the after party at Silver Street Studio, gave Houstonians a chance to see G-Star’s newest materials on models who glided through the crowd as well as the company's most recent runway show which was projected on the walls. The excitement was heightened even more thanks to DJ Baby Jae and cocktails from Triniti’s craft bartender Leslie Ross.
And if you were wondering what trends to look out for this summer, according to Arshid, jean jackets are a must for all.
