Two new stores are moving into River Oaks Shopping Center, bringing fashion clout
River Oaks Shopping Center is slated to get two new fashion-forward tenants, as both Casa de Novia Bridal Couture and Atrium Ready To Wear prepare to move to high profile, ground level spots beneath Américas Restaurant in mid-March.
Casa de Novia has held down a sunlit storefront on D'Amico Street since it opened in the mid-aughts, catering to "cosmopolitan brides of discriminating taste." Owner Luvi Wheelock took the next step in 2011 by opening Atrium to sell duds by sought-after designers like Prabal Gurung, Yigal Azrouel, Jason Wu and Vera Wang.
It didn't take long for the sister boutiques to outgrow their small storefronts — and adjacent spots at the River Oaks Shopping Center seem a perfect fit for the pair.

"This move is integral to growing the store, and we are excited to be surrounded by so many elite restaurants and retailers," Wheelock said in a statement.
Casa de Novia will claim a 2,600 square foot space in River Oaks Shopping Center for a "modern Soho-inspired boutique" that is supposed to exude "simple elegance," with individual suites for each bride's privacy and comfort.
Atrium's 1,000 square foot store will reflect "a woman's dream closet with a Parisian-inspired contemporary décor" for a shopping experience to be accompanied by complimentary champagne.
The D'Amico locations will continue operating until March 21, when the doors are set to open at both boutiques.
