Skating with the Stars offers the worst reality TV cast of all time
They're giving Skating with the Stars a go, and the cast list is truly pitiful.
With Skating not the established ratings draw that waiting-room-for-the-washed-up Dancing With the Stars is, it seems its creators (the same as Dancing) were really scraping the bottom of the barrel when coming up with a cast. The two biggest names are Real Housewives of New York and now Bethenny Getting Married?'s Bethenny Frankel and former All My Children star (and also former wife of Bachelor Bob Guiney) Rebecca Budig.
It's so much reality TV incest I'd worry about contagion. At least Dancing has some once-great stars a little late in their careers instead of camera-whores clutching at the coattails of fame.
The skating cast is rounded out with Motley Crue's Vince Neil, Olympic skier Jonny Moseley, Blade Runner starlet Sean Young and Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith. Is it any wonder that this show is having a harder time signing stars than Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab? The last time a network went the celebrity ice skating route a few years ago, Fox's Skating with Celebrities tanked almost as quickly as Lone Star.
